Two problems with the packaging:- of the 4 “plastic ears” 2 were missing from the box; personally I didn’t need it but……- no 8 mm washers supplied and the 8 spacers are too thin compared to the screws supplied: you therefore have to either saw off the screws or buy a few 8

I got this for my Toshiba 50L5200U 50″ flatscreen TV. It’s a little older of a model – I got it in 2011.It weighs 48.4 lbs. with stand; 39.6 lbs. without stand. I live in an apartment that used metal studs with drywall. To address concerns with the wall, I finished a 4 foot long maple 2×4 to distribute how the wall is holding the weight to 8 drywall inserts rated at 75 lbs. each – then mounted this wall mount to the 2×4. It all worked out great. No issues with the weight from the wall mount or from the drywall. I highly recommend this wall mount.

Excellent product of good quality materials. Because of the plastic shields the wall mount is relatively attractive, not clunky like some TV wall mounts. I only have two minor quibbles. I used this to mount a small 32″ TV and because of the small size, the TV mounts were a little awkward to arrange so that no part would be visible from the front. I was successful but it took a little creativity. Secondly the screws that mount it to the TV need to be quite tight to prevent it from rotating as you pull it in and out. Nonetheless, I would readily but it again.

We ordered the bracket to screw the part to the wall in an existing wall unit with a cut-out for the TV. Perfect! Although we didn’t need the load, we did need the length of the arms. Good quality at a fair price and easy assembly.

The product does what it supposed to do, hold up the TV and swivel. I had to go to the hardware store and buy metric screws that I could attach the TV to the TV mount. The screws supply were either too short or too long. The TV on mount it was a 65 inch TV Samsung.

Just got 3rd 3400W (white, full motion). 65″, 65″, 55″ TVs. I’m not so great with doing reviews, I honestly only came to write one as I’m blown away @some of the reviews here. I’ve bought plenty of junk in the past & had legit quality issues…. this is NOT in that category by a mile!! I can only surmise many of the reviews expressing disappointment &/or product failure are likely 99%+ user created problems. The supposed cracking sound/product fail with a 65″ – I couldn’t possibly have *lucked out* on 2 65″s & a 55″…?? A few others dropped my jaw, but the jist was all the same: installer not product failure!If you’re not mounting into a stud or utilizing high quality wall anchors – even if that means you go spend $2 @Lowe’s – you really only have yourself to thank. How can you blame or even question a product’s quality OR be salty if anything goes wrong if that’s the decision you make?? I wouldn’t even hang a small TV anywhere but in a stud. I can’t think of the last large mirror of sizeable wall hanging I hung anywhere but a stud! Particularly with a model like this that adjusts in so many ways/multiple segment+movement arm on top of the movement of the TV attached mount… Even if it’s not exactly where you want the TV to be: it’s wiser to mount securely in a stud, then adjust the TV to the place/angle you want it.For those who aren’t handy/don’t know what they’re doing: there’s loads of people you can pay pretty modest amounts to come mount a TV for you (or ask a friend/family member who’s semi-handy!!). May seem like an undesirable expense, yet it sure beats the $$ for repair/replacement of a WALL & $1000+ TV! I’m a middle aged female homeowner & did these by myself. (probably wise to have a 2nd person to attach the TV, but hanging the mount isn’t a 2 player game). To be fair: I do quite a lot of work on my house & am not criticizing those without that knowledge… I’m a business professional, not a carpenter. It’s each person’s choice to learn things, find/hire others to do things they can’t or try to ‘wing it’ then get angry when it fails! What’s more, with this item: if you truly found it defective/subpar/missing parts/etc: lifetime warranty & support – from the maker!!! Contact the company (not the Amazon seller) for assistance &/or replacement. How tough is that?? It’s a real company, est 1988, not an overnight e-commerce reseller of other people’s junk that has 15 logos on it/50 resellers peddling it! Barkan makes & supports their own patented products.. Certainly a rarity on Amazon or much of anywhere anymore! I don’t work for Barkan, don’t know anyone there, have no vested interest in the company, wasn’t paid to write this – I’m just another user who relies on reviews, particularly when I don’t know much about something & think many reviews here don’t reflect the product at all fairly or accurately…. an ego or 10 who can’t/won’t admit operator error.Solid build, truly FULL motion in all directions/angles, easy install (with some basic working knowledge), VERY substantial hardware, high quality & durable finish, thoughtfully made covers to put over the bolts for an even cleaner look. Well worth the slightly higher cost to have the solid build/durable finish/real company to go to for lifetime product support/replacement if needed. I also really appreciate that it’s white (1 less ugly black electronic/component/piece of hardware to look at! If only my TV/soundbar/cables could be white….. Most ppl have light/white walls & ceilings; I could forever live without all the black components that stick out like a sore thumb). Adjusting any angle/direction is VERY easy – like with the power of a finger or two [even if arthritic]!

I read alot of reviews and decided to get this. I took someone’s recommendation to get longer bolt nuts and soooo glad I did. I live in a manufactured home and let’s just say my studs are NOT 12-18. I found a seam and a stud and hung my 65″ TV. Talk about scary, but it worked and it’s still hanging as of today. Does it swivel nicely, yes! I’m too scared to move it around though. My walls suck!

Good quality. Unfortunately, there were no suitable screws for Sony televisions. The instructions shouldn’t be described in such a complicated way. [ Less is often more] Otherwise everything is fine.

So, first off we are professional installers..We generally use this brand of mount religiously, they’re fabulously designed and the newer versions are even better yet.Some other points that people have brought up are true, this particular model number isn’t the best for tv’s that have a bump on the back near the mounting screw holes, we usually bring extra metal arm shortening extensions (cheap, flat bars found at Ace Hardware) just in case a customer bought their own tv and didn’t take this fact into consideration which I can totally understand either way. We also bring extra screws and plastic spacers, for example we usually sell Samsung tv’s which uses longer bolts on the top and the regular bolts that come in the box on the bottom. Although most kits come with multiple bolts in a bag that do fit MOST tv’s there is always the chance you have one of those oddball tv’s.In short, we strongly recommend this brand for the price, quality and strength. Most of the new Barkan mounts come fully put together and ready to mount just like this one and we don’t actually use those odd plastic multi-hole ear looking things .

Love this one! I can move it to wherever I’m sitting in my room. Very sturdy, not afraid it will fall. I have a 32″ screen and the screws and pretty close together and the mounting bracket fits perfectly on it. This was such a good buy that my mother bought the same one for her self.Tip: make sure your TV cord will stay plugged in where you Mount it. Because you can move your TV all over and if the cord isn’t long enough you’ll need an extension cord.

Looks stable… BUT… unfortunately totally crooked…. in scales when extended…. but on the wall???? I can’t even do it.. Whoever laced this together must have had a bad day. Unfortunately, I had already modified the bracket, so it’s not possible to send it back… So…get rid of the scrap iron… that wouldn’t have happened with VOGELS… Another lesson learned!

Great product, but my packaging had clearly been opened before I received it, and two of the “fins” were missing. Any chance those can be sent since I paid for them? Other than that, def recommend it.UPDATE: As I saw in another review, the fins were actually (very tightly) adhered together, so all parts are present and accounted for. Adjusted to a 5-star rating, you won’t regret this purchase!

Easy Install.. Sturdy and well engineered. Mounted a 60 inch tv … and it holds up well even at full extension… no bending or weakness were observed as some of the other reviews mention. All mounting screws are included in the kit.Good job guys … will purchase Barken again… will recommend.

I would have given it 5 stars if it came with everything. It looks well built, but was shipped in just the original box and came pretty beat up. It was missing two of the fins that was supposed to come with it. It looks as though it might even be used when it was supposed to be a new item. The factory tape on the sides looked as though it had been opened before on all the sides of the box. I won’t be returning because I’m pretty sure everything else is still there and don’t really need the fins. I’m just disappointed it came in the condition it did. Not worth the hassle of returning and requesting another one.

I chose this mount (Max 80” TV size) because I wanted the long extension to enable full 90 degree pivoting on a screen up to 52” in size. So yes, it does that. However: 1) while it doesn’t feel “flimsy” there is no way I would trust mounting a TV in this thing, that was toward the upper range of its specification. Just just seen well-enough built. 2) it’s not manufactured with precise tolerances. If you mount it plumb on the wall, the screen is several degrees out-of-level. And the amount it’s out-of-level is different when it’s folded flat against the wall, versus when it’s extended. Pretty crappy. 3) the action of the arms is quite stiff and takes too hard a push on the TV, IMO. We have a Sanus mount on another TV and it is far superior in all regards. Just spend the extra $100 so you have a really good mount instead of this extremely so-so version.

This is such a well made, affordable product. Heavy gauge steel, solid construction. I bought this for a small (24″) TV with 75x75mm VESA mounting. While this product’s bracket fit, it was so large that it covered the TV’s HDMI and power plugs. But I really needed its extended reach. So I contacted the company to ask if there was a smaller bracket that could be used, and I got a prompt reply suggesting the bracket from a different product. Even though I needed to buy a second mount and scavenge its bracket, both products were so affordable, I didn’t care.The second product’s bracket worked perfectly with this extended reach mount. The unit as a whole works great.Both products came with a wide array of mounting hardware, trying to cover the most common options. Pretty impressive. Well organized, good instructions.

Delivered as announced when ordering. You have to take a closer look at the instructions (note the screw lengths…). Everything else is ok and as described. The swivel range was particularly important in our case and is also as described. We found it particularly good and easy that the TV is “hung” and can then be screwed on without holding it.
